Loaded Crisps Trend – The Ultimate Sharing Platter with Olives, Cheese & Chilli Jam

Looking for an easy loaded crisps recipe? Our version of the viral Loaded Crisps trend has quickly become our latest obsession!

Of course, we couldn't resist giving it a local West Country twist by using some of our favourite artisan ingredients.

This easy sharing platter is packed with crunchy crisps, award-winning olives, artisan cheese, cured meats and sweet chilli jam. Whether you're entertaining friends, enjoying a sunny picnic, watching a film or simply looking for an effortless snack, this loaded crisps recipe is guaranteed to impress.

After the recent heatwave, this has become one of our go-to meals when it's simply too warm to cook. It's quick to prepare, endlessly customisable and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Burt's Crisps Lightly Salted 150g (Or any brand)

Sharpham Cheese -  Elmhirst

Sharpham Capicollo

South Devon Chilli Farm - Chilli Jam

West Country Olives - Classic Blend 175g

Method

The beauty of loaded crisps is that there are no rules. You can either cut open the crisp packet and build everything directly inside for the ultimate picnic snack, or arrange everything on a serving platter for a more impressive gourmet sharing board.

1. Lay crisps on serving plate (or cut open bag of crisps)

2. Cut the salami/ cured meats in half and add on top of the crisps.

3. Cut up the cheese into little bite size pieces and add onto the crisps and salami

4. Scatter over the olives

We used our West Country Olives Classic Blend because the mix of green olives and smaller Kalamata olives adds fantastic colour as well as flavour. We left them whole, but you can halve them if you prefer.

5. For that finishing touch we added some dollops of South Devon Chilli Farm - The sweet heat works perfectly with the salty crisps, creamy cheese and olives. It's one of our absolute favourite chilli jams—and yes, you can buy it on our website too!

6. Grab your partner, friends, work colleagues or just enjoy all to yourself!

Top Tips

  • Swap the cheese for your favourite local cheddar or goat's cheese.
  • Add sliced gherkins, pickled onions or roasted peppers for extra flavour.
  • Sprinkle over fresh herbs for a colourful finish.
  • Love spice? Add our Garlic & Chilli olives for extra heat!
  • Perfect for BBQs, garden parties, picnics, movie nights and summer entertaining.
