Ingredients
- 100g plain flour
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 100g panko breadcrumbs
- Picante pimento olives
- Oil for frying
Method
1.Place the plain flour into a bowl.
2. Crack and beat the egg in a separate bowl.
3. Add the panko breadcrumbs to a third bowl.
4. Heat enough oil in a pan to fully cover the olives.
5, Dip each olive into the flour, then the egg, and finally coat in panko breadcrumbs.
6. Test the oil by dropping in a breadcrumb—it should sizzle and crisp immediately.
7. Carefully add the coated olives to the hot oil.
8. Turn occasionally using a spoon or tongs until golden brown and crispy.
9. Remove and place on kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
Lemon Mayonnaise
Mix together mayonnaise and lemon juice
Serve your crispy fried olives hot with lemon mayonnaise for dipping. Perfect as a tapas-style dish, party snack, or indulgent treat.
